About me

Expert CBT delivered with compassion.

Hello, I'm Sally Tribe, an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (BABCP) with over 20 years' experience working in mental health.

I've always been fascinated by understanding why we think, feel and behave the way we do. More importantly, I've always wanted a career that would make a genuine difference to people's lives.

That passion led me to study Psychology before specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I continue to feel privileged to support people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

My Approach

I believe that effective therapy is built on three things:

Compassion. Collaboration. Evidence.

No two people are the same, so therapy shouldn't be either. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where we can work together to understand your experiences and develop practical strategies that help you move towards the life you want to live.

I specialise exclusively in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy because I believe expertise matters. CBT is one of the most researched psychological therapies available and is recommended by NICE for a wide range of mental health difficulties. By focusing solely on CBT, I am able to continually develop my knowledge and skills to provide the highest standard of evidence-based care.

My Experience

I completed my specialist postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the institute of psychiatry psychology & neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London in 2010.

Since then, I have worked across a wide range of clinical institutions including NHS, corporate mental health, forensic and academic. Throughout my career I have worked with adolescents, adults and older adults, providing therapy in individual, couples and group settings.

Teaching, Supervision and Professional Development

Alongside my clinical work, I am an experienced CBT supervisor, trainer and university lecturer supporting the development of future CBT therapists and psychologists and providing clinical supervision to qualified practitioners. I am currently the CBT lead for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Univeristy of Bath and specilaist CBT tutor at Kings College London.

Teaching and supervising keeps me closely connected to the latest developments in CBT research and clinical practice. It also reflects my commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards and continually improving the care I provide.

What Matters to Me

I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step.

Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, stress or another emotional difficulty, my aim is to create a space where you feel listened to, understood and supported.

Therapy isn't about telling you what to do or expecting you to "think positively". Instead, we'll work together to understand what is keeping your difficulties going, build practical skills, and help you make meaningful and lasting changes.

My goal is simple: to help you live life to the best of your ability.

What can you expect from me?

Clients often tell me that they appreciate my calm, warm and collaborative approach. I understand that seeking therapy can feel daunting, particularly if it's your first experience of talking to someone about your difficulties. My priority is to help you feel comfortable, listened to and understood from the very first session. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, developing practical strategies that are tailored to your goals and circumstances.
